NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to any and all unknown parties, including any persons claiming a present interest in the property described below and including persons claiming any future, contingent, reversionary, remainder, or other interest therein, who may claim any interest in such property, such persons' whereabouts being unknown and which cannot be ascertained with reasonable diligence. Such notice is further given to the following persons: Jose Bucio; and/or his heirs, assigns, devisees, and/or successors-in-interest. Take notice that the City of Athens' appropriate municipal official, pursuant to § 46-280, et seq. of Article IX of Chapter 46 of the City Code of Athens, Alabama, has made a finding that a building, structure, parts of a building or structure, party walls, or foundations situated on the following described property constitutes a dangerous building or structure because it is unsafe to the extent that it is a public nuisance and is subject to demolition: Address: 408 N Clinton Street, Athens, Alabama Tax Parcel # 10-03-05-4-005-035.000 Legal Description The following land lying and being in Limestone County, Alabama, and more particularly described as follows: A part of the West Half of Lot 11 of Block 70. According to the 1914 map of the City of Athens described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East margin of Clinton Street 100 feet South of the Northwest corner of the West half of Lot 11 of Block 70 as the true Point of Beginning said True Point of Beginning being the Southwest corner of the lot conveyed C.M. Newby and wife to Frank and Virda L. Culps on to-wit, May 24, 1950 recorded in Deed Book 448, Page 496, in the Probate Office, and from said True Point of Beginning run South on the East margin of Clinton Street a distance of 50 feet; thence East parallel with Pryor Street to the East side of the West half of said Lot 11 of Block 70; thence North and parallel with Clinton Street 50 feet to the Southeast corner of the Culps property; thence West along the South margin of the Culps property to the East margin of Clinton Street, the Point of Beginning. All persons interested in said property are hereby notified that if the unsafe or dangerous conditions are not remedied by demolition of said buildings or structures on said property (to the appropriate municipal official's satisfaction) within 45 days of November 11, the demolition may be accomplished by the City and the cost thereof assessed against said property. A public hearing as provided for by § 46-280, et seq. of Article IX of Chapter 46 of the City Code of Athens, Alabama will be held on this finding in the City Council Chambers at the Athens City Hall, West Hobbs Street, Athens, Alabama, on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. (This is a new date and replaces the previously-scheduled public hearing that had been set for January 8, 2018.)
