PUBLIC NOTICE OVERGROWN VEGETATION TAKE NOTICE that there will be a public hearing before the Athens City Council on August 28, 2017, at 5:30 P.M., at the City Council meeting room at Athens City Hall, which is located at 200 W. Hobbs Street in Athens, Alabama. The purpose of the public hearing is to determine whether or not the conditions at the following real property constitute a nuisance and should be abated by the City. The property is located in Athens, Alabama, and is described as follows: Tax Parcel #10-03-07-4-002-027.000, on Maxie Allen Street, Athens, Alabama. The Limestone County Revenue Commissioner shows the following legal description of the property: COM SE. COR SEC 7 TH N 1680 W990 TO POB CONT W 100 S 10 W24 N 170 E 360 S 75 SWLY 115TO POB IN SEC 7 3 4N The property is claimed to be a nuisance due to overgrown weeds and vegetation located on the property that are injurious to the general public health, safety, and general welfare by being unsightly and providing breeding grounds and shelter for rats, mice, snakes, mosquitoes, and other vermin, insects, or pests. Persons who may own an interest in this real property include: James Horton, his unknown heirs and assigns; Lera E. Horton, her unknown heirs and assigns; Anita M. Horton Lacey, her unknown heirs and assigns; and any and all unknown party or parties claiming any right, title, or interest in and to the property described herein.
